안녕하세요! 저는 샘이예요. 한국어 배우고 있어요!

 Hello! My name is Sam and I am learning Korean! This is a personal blog to help me review/practice the Korean I learn during self-study and lessons.

 My Korean teacher/tutor is the best! She has taught me so much in the last few months. I would highly recommend the iTalki platform as well as taking Korean lessons from her if you are interested in learning a new language.
I hope that as I progress with learning Korean that the blogs are less in English and more and more in Korean.

방아쇠가 어디에 있어요?!?!

9월 22일이에요 어제 숙제 있었어요! The previous lesson covered how to use position/prepositions and location markers to explain where objects are. Below are a few fun examples I have tried to come up with! 방아쇠가 어디에 있어요?!?! 방아쇠가 어디에 있어요!!!???? Even in times of great stress, Batman knew the important questions to ask. Without position words, how would he know where the trigger was?! 위에:  On, Above, Over 공책이 책상 위에 있어요. 밑에 / 아래에: Below, Under 컴퓨터가 책상 밑에 있어요. 옆에: Next to 펜이 공책 옆에 있어요. 사이에: Between 'Zach Galifianakis'이 양치류 두 마리 사이에 있어요. 화분이 'Zach Galifianakis' 양옆에 있어요. Ok this doesn't translate well in Korean! ㅋㅋㅋ 안에: Inside 소맥이 레드불 안에 있어요! 주변에: Around 친구가 테이블 주변에 있어요  (this doesn't work well as it's already assumed something is around a table) 웬디즈가 집 주변에 있어요! 앞에: In front of 제가 사무실 앞에 있어요. (제가?) 뒤에: Behind 좀비가 샘 뒤에 있어요! 밖에: Outside 우유가 냉장고 밖에 있어요!

어제, 오늘, 이번 주에!

오늘은  구월 십오일이에요. Bare with me as I type out the numbers for practice ^^ 보통 토요일에 아홉시에 일어나지만 오늘 여섯시에 일어났어요!  진짜  피곤해 요!! 어제는 나리랑 한국어 수업했어요. ( 수업 했어요 =  수업했어요 no spaces!) 내일 은   나리랑 한국어 수업 해요!  기대기대! ㅋㅋ 이번 주에  나는 '5G' 연수 갈 거예요! Vocab 완벽해요 = perfect (ex. 저는  완벽해요....ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ) 달러 = dollar (American) 병원 = hospital 연수 = training 랑 (이랑) = with (with someone) Verbs 팔아요 = to sell (팔다; declarative present, informal-high) 비싸요/싸요 = expensive/cheap ( 싸다, declarative present, informal-high) 갈 거예요 = to go ( 가다; declarative future, informal-high) 했어요  = to do (하다; declarative past, informal-high) 해요 = to do ( 하다; declarative present, informal-high) 일어났어요 = to wake up ( 일어나다; declarative past, informal-high)
